Clearly this time of the Astrological New Year is so significant, but I will say that the inter-dimensional shift is particularly powerful now.
2024 is the lead up to 2025, when Pluto is fully in Aquarius, Neptune moves into Aries, Saturn moves into Aries, and everything changes. Uranus brings the unpredictable twists and turns that affect our fundamental insecurities.
There is wild card energy, and as movement ripples through our systems, expect dramatic changes in the course of our lives in some ways. Know also that the new openings and beginnings are framed with deep magic, wisdom and love.
The Sun moves into Aries on March 19 at 11:06 pm EDT. How do we use the power, strength and will of this year’s Aries new start? We can begin by choosing not to engage at all in the inevitable increase in conflict that I’m sure we’ll see. And this is where the March 25, 2024 Penumbral Lunar Eclipse points to the way. This eclipse is subtle but it is also magical and powerful for anyone tuning in.

This Lunar Eclipse chart features a YOD or Finger of God aspect pattern. It also shows Venus as the strongest planet in this chart with Jupiter a close second and these are the two benefic planets in traditional astrology. Benefic relates to being a good influence or having a positive meaning, Venus is the benefic planet for a night chart and Jupiter for a day chart. These two are a communicating with each other in a sextile or 60° aspect and in mutual reception with Jupiter in the sign that Venus rules and Venus in the sign that Jupiter rules. And this sextile, while a wonderful aspect with the two most generous planets, as with all sextiles, an effort to reach for it must happen.. This is different than a trine which is also easy but the luck comes from outside of ourselves. With a sextile, nothing much happens if we don’t do anything. This actually increases our wisdom as we realize the relationship dance between ourselves and cosmic forces. It seems magical because even though effort was put in, as our egos are usually amazed at the wondrous outcome.
Martin Schulman says that “Since love is the beauty at the center of life, the understanding of Venus must be at the very essence of the meaning of the horoscope.” And Venus is certainly the center of this Lunar Eclipse chart. Venus is the filter through which we can realize the beauty of physical love, of the senses, of the beauty of the Earth and all its abundance. It is the Yin quality that draws in what is most desired, what we feel we can’t live without. Venus has the qualities of giving and sharing in all relationships. Venus in its current sign of Pisces involves our higher consciousness in divine union as we serve others with the love from our soul.

Now the interesting part. Both Venus and Jupiter inconjunct (150°) the South Node in Libra, also ruled by Venus. Inconjuncts are very challenging because it’s hard for the two planets to really connect through the energies of their sign. They are different modalites and elements and just don’t have much in common. And yet, with a YOD, destiny steps in. The difficulties of the two inconjuncts from Venus to the South Node and Jupiter to the South Node have the magic of the sextile coming to the rescue.
When we are in tune with the potentials and work for the results, the reward shows up through the point of the YOD or finger of god pointing in this case to the South Node in Libra. The cosmic forces flow through the inconjunct channels to the point of universal harmony, bringing night and day, yin and yang, higher and lower selves to a point of resolution where opposites meet. All of the differences in all things harmonize and come into balance.
As we live in peace, beauty, love and service with joy, the North Node in Aries is assured of the balance it needs to feel the strength of a fully individuated human being. And as we move into this New Year with the North Node in Aries, if I may once again quote Vernon Howard with bullet points from his first chapter of “The Power of Psycho-Pictography”:
